Today continues my rant on informercials.
First the things that I thought were cool.
The thunderstick. Honestly, who in their right mind wouldn't want one of these? They are so cool, and you can do almost anything with them.
Ginsu knives. They were so cool. Because you never know when you might need to cut a pipe, your shoe, and then filet a tomato. Whatever happened to them?
Now what annoys me.
Those damn pots with the holes in the top for straining. Really, is straining pasta all that complicated? You still need to rinse it and cool it down and pour it into a seperate bowl. If your fine motor skills are that obstructed then maybe you shouldn't be using a stove!
Well... I suppose.....

Um, my post today is kind of like an infomercial for a robotic remote-controlled reptile... which touts realistic biomorphic movements, four-legged walking and high speed running, bipedal "attack" mode, jumping action, flexible neck, whipping tail, multi-sensory environmental awareness, infra-red vision sensors for obstacle avoidance and detection of movements, sonic sensors for detection of loud sounds, and touch sensor for responding to human interaction. And you can win one for Zero payments of $0.00!
Hey, I have one of those pots. It's my only medium-sized pot.
To further the all-in-one aspect, you can heat the sauce in the same pot instead of pulling out a whole new saucepan! Do they say that in the commercial? That it can function as the only medium-sized pot you'll ever need?
And for a while it was the only colander I had, too.
You know, I must be one of the few people who don't heat their pasta (yes I am being snotty, and saying pasta) sauce first. I just pour it on.
